CAMP FACILITIES: Located on a beautiful 114 acre Farm, our programming occurs in our vegetable garden, on our horse trails, and in our wooden barn. Our Camp Site is located in a beautiful wooden canopy, near Little Buffalo State Park, with rustic cabins, a separate bath house, and family style dining hall.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Leadership is the backbone to our program. To us, Leadership looks different for everyone. By building relationships, practicing open and honest communication, and empowered decision making. Our community values self-expression, compassion, cooperative leadership, and living joyfully.

Throughout every aspect of our program, campers and staff develop lifelong friends, indelible memories, and tangible skills. We grow leaders each summer who make lasting impacts on their communities, families, and the world.

Two aspects of our program that specifically are designed for intentional communication, empowered decision making, and relationship building include Crew and Group. Crew is the daily "chores" group that every camper participates in. This is anything from cooking breakfast, to cleaning the stalls and feeding the horses, to taking out the trash and recycling around camp. We do hard work, and then we get to play! Group is our evening program that is defined as "the part of Longacre that makes us unique". This is an intentionally facilitated communication workshop for all of our campers and staff. This is where we use communication tools and skills to better understand ourselves, others, and how we interact with the world.

Longacre Leadership Camp is a residential, co-ed summer camp located in Central Pennsylvania for students aged 8 - 18. We are located on a 114 acre farm 40 minutes north of Harrisburg and will be enjoying our 44th summer this year. Position dates are from June 14th - August 15th 2018.

We hire camp counselors, AKA Big Kids aged 21 and over who are passionate about working with young people and who are committed to building a community. We are looking for staff with a range of skills and expertise including, carpentry, horse riding, arts and crafts, animal husbandry, outdoor education and organic gardening. This position is a blend of farm work and youth work.

CAMP FACILITIES: Many of the facilities in our historic 110 year old camp have recently (10 years) been updated. They include a dining hall and kitchen, craft house, boat house, medical facility, and eight of the fourteen camper cabins. The oldest building in camp is our historic Lodge, used for shows and group gatherings. The 200 acre natural lake provides a beautiful and functional setting for all our aquatic activities. Camp also includes a climbing wall, tennis courts, a volleyball court, field, archery range, campcraft area, nature/ecology area, and a 500 acre preserved area used for hiking and mountain biking.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our aquatic program is extensive, taking advantage of our location on a beautiful, 200 acre, natural, mountain lake. Water skiing, swimming, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, water trampoline, and more occur on the lake. 80-90% of our staff, on average, are trained in Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid. Our boat drivers are required to have a Pennsylvania boating safety license and are screened in our boats.

Older campers may take whitewater canoe trips on the Delaware River and/or a four-day lake canoeing trip to the Adirondacks. Other trips include hiking on the Appalachian Trail, Loyalsock Trail (World's End State Park), Rickett's Glen State Park, Hickory Run State Park, and local trips to the blueberry farm, mill pond, and a local camping spot.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp UMLY, located in Berwyn at the Upper Main Line YMCA provides campers who are preschool age through 8th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including: arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, environmental and nature programming, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp UMLY runs for 13 weeks from May 31 through August 26 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. CAMP FACILITIES: Our camper living facilities are beautiful modern cabins, all of which have wood flooring, windows, air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Modern updated bathrooms with showers and toilet stalls, are within the cabins. The bunks are spacious with plenty of storage for camper and counselor's clothing.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a modern dorm and two modern longhouse facilities, as well as two more rustic dorms. We have a large Dining Hall facility, and a brand new Children's Ministry Building (fit for indoor sports and recreation, as well as meeting places). Additionally, the camp has 200 privately owned cottages, three large RV lots, a large soccer field and baseball field, disc golf and mini golf courses, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a gaga ball pit. There are two tabernacles, the Main Tabernacle and Youth Tabernacle, for services. The Susquehanna River serves as a great place for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mahaffey Camp offers a variety of programs, from summer youth camps and family camp to year-long retreats and events. Our staff is a dedicated group of people who are passionate about serving campers of all ages and leading them to a vibrant experience with God. Our mission is "to reach others with the Gospel and teach them about the Lord." Mahaffey Camp aims to be "A Christian Center for Spiritual Growth." Counselors and Jr. Counselors are required to attend a mandatory Counselor Training weekend, held at the end of May or beginning of June. FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Mahaffey Family Camp takes place during the last full week of July every year; in 2018, the dates are July 20 through 29. Events and services are offered for all age groups throughout the 10 days. Special events include a 5k race, Motorcycle Rally, Missionary Rally, Women's Day, Children's Penny Parade, Baptismal Service, and Gospel Concert. The camp store and Dining Hall are open for meals every day, and the craft store (selling merchandise and handmade crafts to benefit camp) is open daily. Dorm Accommodations are available, as well as RV and tent sites. Different types of services are offered, including Adult morning and evening services, prayer and healing services, Teen morning and evening services, Children's ministries, and Fresh Breeze afternoon service.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Youth Camps are held in the summer, while many retreats are held throughout the rest of the year. Mahaffey offers a variety of different retreats and events, including Applefest, Quilt Retreats, Scrapbook Retreats, Men's Link, Prayer Retreat, Mother / Daughter Retreat, REPLENISH (youth winter retreat), and private horsemanship lessons. Our staff come from the United States as well as many other countries, and receive a thorough training before camp begins. For the past 62 summers, campers have enjoyed the spirit and excitement of the Trail’s End Camp experience. Chestnut Lake has been designed to emulate the traditions and excellence of Trail’s End while providing your family with the flexibility of 3-week or 6-week alternatives. In 2008, Chestnut Lake opened its gates as the Northeast’s premier session camp located in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania, just 2 ½ hours from NYC and Philadelphia.

Chestnut Lake offers boys and girls a brand new, state-of-the-art facility along with creative day and evening programming. Chestnut Lake is an all around camp with a strong sports program. Whether your child is an athlete or an artist, Chestnut Lake has the activities and staff that will Bring Out the Best in every camper!

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: During the summer before 11th grade, campers have the opportunity to participate in our Leadership Training year. During this summer we incorporate additional leadership and community service elements into the program including Stepping for Success, a large fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation ran completely by campers.

We also incorporate travel into the program. Leadership Trainees will take two College Trips and a 10-day trip to Utah which includes 4 days rafting on the Colorado River and hiking Bryce & Zion National Parks.

CAMP FACILITIES: The incredible Lake Nichecronk is a centerpoint here at Camp Speers. Of course, that is in addition to our rustic cabins, challenge course and climbing towers, zip line, art center, and so much more, including our incredible Equestrian Program which offers lessons in both Western and English riding styles.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1948 Camp Speers has been providing incredible summer experiences to children from the United States and many countries around the world. Our campers become stronger, gain confidence, and leave here as young leaders, all of course with the desire to come back next summer. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are currently looking for counselors for the Summer Camp!

CAMP FACILITIES: We have an indoor camp. We use our theater for many activities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We have staff that are excellent in their areas of the arts. Theater teacher offers experiences in many areas of the stage. The music teacher shares many opportunities with the campers to play nstruments, and building instruments, also includes singing.

In the Art area the teacher offers many different ways for painting working with clay, building sets for a stage and much more?

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have a two year Leadership Program at Perlman Camp. The first year is the Pioneer program, for campers entering into 11th grade. They live on platform tents in the foods, cook their own meals, create their own programming and spend 3 weeks in Israel. Campers going into 12 grade participate in our Staff-In-Training (SIT) program. The spend the summer learning the values of being a counselor, transitioning from camper to staff and then living in the bunks for the last 3 weeks of camp.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Kirby Center for Creative Arts will serve as the brand-new home and performance venue for Summer At Sem -Creative Arts, in addition to existing arts buildings. Our facilities also include four dormitories, an air-conditioned dining hall, classroom buildings, open practice rooms, dance and fine art studios, athletic center with two gymnasiums, fitness rooms and swimming pool, new stadium, tennis courts and artificial turf fields, three computer labs and a 20,000 volume library.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: If you are an artist, or aspire to be, Sem is the place to spend your summer. Here you may choose from dedicated session of study in vocal performance, symphony orchestra, dance and theater, along with several visual arts courses. If you can't decide which of your passions to pursue, you will love our design-your-own program: this approach allows students to study across multiple disciplines during the same session. Imagine a schedule of dance in the morning followed by a theater or vocal performance elective course in the afternoon. The possibilities are endless!

CAMP FACILITIES: Our cabins are nestled in the woods, on a lake, and each one has a bathroom with two sinks, two toilets, and two showers. Our dining hall is large enough to seat the entire camp, so we are able to eat all of our meals as one big family. We have a heated outdoor pool, two baseball fields, two large multi-purpose fields (soccer, football, lacrosse), 6 tennis courts, an outdoor and an indoor basketball court, a fencing room, a fitness center, an indoor floor hockey/soccer rink, a multi-room arts & crafts center, more than 10 high ropes and climbing elements, a beautiful covered theater that overlooks the lake, plenty of forest for hiking, biking, and camping, and much more.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camp environment is designed to promote success, self-confidence and self-esteem for every single camper. We limit our enrollment to ensure that every camper is known - by name, by interests and by who they are as individuals. All of our programs combine skill development, challenges and fun, stressing participation and sportsmanship over winning while encouraging campers to get into the spirit of healthy competition.

We pride ourselves on hiring fantastic, talented staff. Our friendly counselors get the kind of training that helps them give their very best to your child. Many of our counselors are former campers who can't wait to share the Lake Owego experience from a first-hand perspective. We also personally recruit counselors from colleges and universities throughout the United States as well as some from Scotland, England and other countries.

Lake Owego Camp is owned by the Black family, who has been operating youth summer camps longer than almost anyone else. In 1931, Hughie and Selma Black founded Pine Forest Camp, which grew over the years to become a nationally recognized co-ed camp. Building on that success, Lake Owego for boys was opened in 1961, and our sister camp for girls, Camp Timber Tops, was opened in 1963.

Today, the third-generation and 4th generation leadership of Mickey and Barbara Black, and their children, Lee and Anna, carry on the family legacy, earning awards such as "Family Business of the Year" and serving as active leaders in the American Camping Association of America.

Directors John and Rachel Waszczak, Kyle Silver, Jeff Freedman and Shelly Silver have over 90 years of combined camp experience, and they work together a fantastic camp experience for each and every Lake Owego camper.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Campers going into 11th grade take part in our Counselor Assistant program, which includes opportunities to assist in teaching activities, assist in younger bunks, go on college tours to NY, MD, PA, MA, and a 2 week trip to Costa Rica. The Costa Rica trip is included in the camp tuition, and the campers will get to explorer and see the sites, go on a canopy zip-line tour, and hike around a volcano, as well as train for and put on a 1 week camp for underserved local children. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Early registration rates are available at different times throughout the year.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): If you're interested in camp for next year, try one of our Explorer Weekends! We offer overnight opportunities during the summer so that interested campers can spend the night in the bunk and experience camp before going away.

We also offer 4-10 day specialty camps during the summer; TOP Basketball, TOP Adventure, TOP Cooks, and TOP Riding (English style Horseback Riding).

Before and after our traditional summer camp dates, camp is available for retreats, rental groups, weddings, and other events.
