SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: The RISE program offers two summer day program options for youth and young adults with disabilities: Camp Paha for youth ages 6 to 17 and Paha Adults in Transition (PAT) for young adults ages 18 to 25.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Theater, Dance, Music/Band, Fine Arts/Crafts, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Soccer, Golf, Swimming, Basketball, Team Sports, Academics, Wilderness/Nature, and more. Magic & History.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located less than 15 minutes west of downtown Denver, CO. We hold camps in three facilites within a 2 mile radius. Please visit our website for locations and descriptions at Our Camp Website Link: www.lakewood.org.
CAMP FACILITIES: We have three facilites within a 2 mile raduis that host our summer camps. A cultural center that offers a technically advanced 316-seat theater, multiple gallery spaces, a dance studio as well an art studio for a variety of classes and a community room. A museum that has over 10 historic structures, 30,000 artifacts, a festival area and an outdoor amphitheater. A schoolhouse which has been renovated from the early 20th century, which houses studios for art, pottery, papermaking, jewelry and
weaving.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The City of Lakewood Summer Arts Camps has added new camps to their summer program that offer campers the support and encouragement to explore a variety of different art forms. Sessions include Art, Theater, Dance, Singing, Magic and History for ages 4-18. We offer half day camps with a full day option as well as our new extended studio program for early drop-off, late pick-up and lunch sessions; register for all three extended studio programs along with your camps and get a discount!
